Contact Dermatitis

Welcome to the Contact Dermatitis Sub Group Home Page.

The Contact Sub Group was formed in early 2011 after the BDNG Executive committee approached Sarah Catten to chair the new BDNG sub group. We are currently slowly developing and putting together the committee, which at the moment includes the Chair and Secretary. We are currently looking for new committee members who currently work within the sphere of contact dermatitis and Patch Testing. If you would like to join this sub group, please contact Susan Maguire, Professional Officer at susan.maguire@bdng.org.uk

As a sub group we hope to provide a resource for information sharing regarding Contact dermatitis and Patch testing practices. At the present time there is a lack of continuity and standardisation in the practice of patch testing especially. The sub group’s aim is to hopefully achieve this through working together in the development of educational courses, competency levels and best practice guidelines. The BDNG Contact Dermatitis Sub group is open to all BDNG members.
